FIX IT in 2026

Fix the Kids. Fix the Game. Fix the Future.

KICK Ministries is launching the Fix It ’26 Campaign to transform the lives of inner-city youth and the culture that surrounds them—on the court, at home, and in the community.

We believe:

If we fix the kids, we fix the community.
If we fix the game, we fix the culture.
If we fix the future, we fix what’s possible.

Our Numbers Nov 24-Dec 25

The Problem

Too many young people are growing up:

  • Surrounded by broken examples of manhood and womanhood

  • Overwhelmed by trauma, stress, and unstable environments

  • With no clear plan for school, work, or life after the game

At the same time, youth sports—especially basketball—often use kids up instead of building them up. Parents are stressed, coaches are under-equipped, and the gym is a missed opportunity to teach life.

Fix It ’26 is our answer.

Why KICK Ministries?

KICK Ministries is led by Winston Frazier, a veteran youth developer with over 20 years of experience working with inner-city youth, combining:

  • Basketball

  • Biblical principles & character development

  • Real-world life skills and mentoring

We already run programs that reach kids in gyms, clubs, and communities across Kansas City. Fix It ’26 pulls it all together into one focused campaign for maximum impact.

Fix it in 2026

Fix the Kids

Fix the way they think, the way they feel, and then the way they act.

  • Think – Fix the Mindset
We teach young people how to think about themselves, their choices, and their future.

    • Decision-making, problem-solving, identity, self-talk

  • Feel – Fix the Heart
We give kids safe spaces to process what they’re going through.

    • Emotional awareness, mental-health support, trauma-informed care

  • Act – Fix the Behavior
We turn better thinking and feeling into better habits and actions.

    • Respect, responsibility, leadership, and service opportunities

When we fix how they think and feel, we don’t have to chase how they act.

Fix the Game

Fix the players, fix the parents, fix the coaches.

  • Players – Fix the Hooper
Teach kids to be good people first, good players second.

    • Work ethic, discipline, teamwork, coachability

  • Parents – Fix the Sidelines
Equip parents to support, not pressure.

    • Parent meetings, education on healthy support, codes of conduct

  • Coaches – Fix the Leaders
Develop coaches who care about development over trophies.

    • Training in positive coaching, communication, and whole-child development

When we fix the game, the gym becomes a classroom for life.

Fix the Future

Fix the plan, fix the path, fix the possibilities.

  • Plan – Fix the Blueprint
Every young person needs a real, written plan for life after high school—and after sports.

    • Goal-setting, education and career planning, financial literacy

  • Path – Fix the Steps
We walk with them step by step.

    • Ongoing mentoring, accountability, check-ins, practical next steps

  • Possibilities – Fix the Vision
We expose them to a bigger world.

    • College visits, job shadows, guest speakers, entrepreneurship and leadership programs

When we fix the plan and the path, the possibilities fix themselves.
